THE REALIZATION OF MEDIOCRITY

October 2020—I’m 28 my father was hospitalized and I don’t have money for his treatment. This one incident shook me from my sleep while I was doing my job earning money. I have my family . but I’ve recently woken up to the disturbing realization that despite all these accomplishments, I have stuck at one point and never have felt that I am not growing up. I’ve lived my entire adult life with a mediocre mindset.

MY GOALS, AIM, AND ACTIONS
HAVE ALL BEEN TOO LOW

“I was lost ”

I think to myself as I head for work.

“I want to become a mentor to those who also want to follow their passions and create their dream lifestyle.”

But doubtful and fearful thoughts plague me.

What if my passion doesn’t work out?

What if people don’t believe in me?

What if I fail and people laugh at me?

I have a wife and a young daughter.

What if I fail them?
These insecurities surprise me. I’m a successful civil engineer working for a good company and the pride of our MD because I handled the whole project single handly. These are significant accomplishments considering my humble beginnings

I Grew Up In A Small Town In India,
In A Neighborhood Full Of POVERTY,
DRINKINGGAMBLING, And FIGHTING.

My father was a primary teacher, a lovely, caring man who often gave away the little money we had to help somebody needier than us. He was my best friend ,my motivator and always gave me the right direction so I always saw him helping people and that inspired me in my life so wherever I go for work I always believe in helping people.

He always told me to work hard and be a leader, do whatever you want to do.
